For example, if the manufacturer says 5W30, you should use 5W30. Otherwise, the oil you use could be too thin that it doesn’t stick to the engine or too thick that it doesn’t flow in cold conditions.
2. Prepare Your Engine.
Run your engine for five minutes. Doing so will warm the oil, making sure it flows and lubricates your engine. Running your engine also lets you check for any oil leaks.
3. Change Oil Filters.
